Battlefield 2042: How to Get Dark Market Credits & Buy Guns in Hazard Zone

dark market credits, hazard zone

Battlefield 2042 introduces a brand new game mode called Hazard Zone. It has elements of squad-focused battle royales like Apex Legends but it’s definitely not a BR. In fact, it’s probably more similar to The Division’s dark zones if anything. Regardless, it has its own ecosystem and the main currency you’ll need if you want to survive and thrive are Dark Market Credits as they are directly tied to buying guns and gadgets in Hazard Zone for Battlefield 2042. Here’s what you need to know.

How to Get Dark Market Credits in Battlefield 2042’s Hazard Zone

Dark Market Credits is the primary currency of Battlefield 2042”s Hazard Zone. Hazard Zone, as you may or may not know already, centers around collecting as many Data Drives as you can as a team and then finding a way to get at least one of your squadmates extracted safely. There are two opportunities to extract in each match, and you can pick either one.

Data Drives, when successfully extracted will give you large amounts of Dark Market Credits. As long as one person gets extracted from your squad, the entire squad gets rewarded but if you’re wiped out or don’t extract, you get nothing (good day sir).

In addition, you can kill other players for smaller amounts of Dark Market Credits as well, and these will be rewarded to you whether you extract successfully or not.

Buying & Getting Different Weapons & Gadgets in Hazard Zone

Once you have a decent bank of Dark Market Credits, you can equip your character with new weapons, gadgets, and perks prior to the game starting. In this sense, it works a little bit like Counterstrike or Valorant in that you have an opportunity to spend some credits and gear up the way that you want prior to the match.

You have about a minute prior to the start of every Hazard Zone match to select the loadout you want and spend credits, but keep in mind, that’s your only chance to do so. If you redeploy after getting killed, though, you will redeploy with the loadout that you started the match with at least.

And that’s everything you should need to know about how to get Dark Market Credits in Battlefield 2042. For more useful tips and guides on the game, be sure to check out Twinfinite’s guide wiki. You should also see some related content below that may prove helpful.
