You’ll actually have to wait until you’re near the end of the game. It’s the final move that Spongebob will unlock and it’s obtained right after you’ve completed the final area of downtown Bikini Bottom, once you’ve beaten the Robot Patrick boss.

When you leave that area after the fight, you’ll see your Bubble Buddy by the road. You just need to speak to him and he’ll introduce you to the Cruise Bubble move.

To use it, just press the left trigger button on your system. For PS4 that is L2, for Xbox One it is LT, and for Switch it is LZ. Spongebob will then fire a rocket at where you’re aiming, exploding in a cloud of bubble upon impact. It can be very helpful in combat and helps you reach certain areas when you backtrack to find all the game’s many collectibles and hit that 100% completion.
