Baldur’s Gate 3 is the third and latest installment in the beloved DND-inspired franchise. After their success with the two Divinity: Original Sin games, Larian Studios is ready to take on this franchise and put their own spin on it. While it may not be an isometric RPG that fans might have been expecting, it does feature that same exciting turn-based combat that Divinity fans will be familiar is. Here’s what the max level cap is in Baldur’s Gate 3.
What the Max Level Cap Is in Baldur’s Gate 3
Even though it’s still only in its early access release, there’s already a ton of content to get into in Baldur’s Gate 3. However, you’ll very likely hit the max level cap long before you get close to the end of the content available in the game right now.
At the time of writing, the max level cap of Baldur’s Gate in its early access build is level 4. With each level gained, you’ll be able to spend skill points and strengthen your characters with new perks and traits. Completing battles in the game will reward you with experience points, which will then count towards your progress towards the next level. Whenever a character gains a level, simply click on the + sign on their portraits in the bottom left corner of the screen to see your available points, then level them up from there.
While the cap of 4 does sound pretty low, rest assured that there are still tons of skills and traits to choose from to give yourself a unique party build, depending on the classes and races you’ve chosen.
Larian Studios have yet to confirm exactly what the max level cap will be for the final build of the game when it releases next year, but we’ll keep this article updated as more information comes our way.
