Regiment Funds serve as the currency in Attack on Titan and can be somewhat difficult to come by and very easy to run out of. Nothing is free in the game, so if you want to develop new technologies, upgrade your existing gear, or obtain needed materials, you’re going to need some cash. There aren’t too many ways to actually earn Regiment Funds in the game, but you can increase how much you get if you’re skilled enough.

First off, you earn funds simply for the act of completing the various missions available to you in the game. This includes missions during Attack Mode, which serves as Attack on Titan’s campaign, Expedition Mode (multiplayer), and Challenge Mode. Even Survey Missions count, which are side activities you can complete to fill up your gallery and unlock other missions.

You’ll get rewards even for replaying a mission, so if you find one you’re particularly good at, continue to run through it for an easy grind. Do note, though, that later missions offer greater rewards, so you may not want to start grinding until you’re at least halfway through the game (there are five chapters).

Subjugate Lots of Titans

Subjugating Titans is one of the main things, if not the main thing, you’ll find yourself doing in Attack on Titan. But you only have to slay the ones you’re told to in order to complete a mission, which often times means only slaying a handful. Yes, there are some missions that will make you kill everything on your map, but those are pretty rare.

If you want regiment funds, you’re going to have to go out of your way to slay even more Titans during a mission. Don’t worry, though, if you’re going for an S-Rank this will actually help you, not hinder you. While time is definitely a factor in your overall mission rating, the amount of subjugated Titans is a less lenient parameter. You usually have more than enough time to get everything done within any time limit.

Subjugate Them Well

Not only should you subjugate every Titan you see, but you should be trying to go for gold medals. While in combat, you can earn one of three medals after a subjugation:

  • Complete (Gold) – Subjugate a Titan with no errors. That means not getting hit or grabbed, and not missing any attacks.
  • Superior (Silver) – If you get hit only once or miss only one attack you’ll get this medal.
  • Effective (Bronze) – You struggled here, but hey, at least you got the job done.

Getting more golds will raise your Subjugation Reward. This is a bonus amount of currency that is added to the base reward you get simply for completing a mission. It’s completely dependent on your skill, so show those Titans what you got.

Sell All the Things

Okay, well maybe not all the things. But you will gather a lot of materials as you play through the game. These are obtained as rewards for completing a mission, getting S-Rank, eliminating special targets, and attacking Titan body parts that are marked with a yellow diamond. Many of these are needed to upgrade gear and to purchase new sets, but you’ll eventually find yourself holding more than you need.

You can sell items by heading to the Material Acquisition Depot in your base. It’s marked on your map as a symbol of a crumbling rock. Choose the Cash In option to sell any materials you have on hand. You can also sell any extra gear you have by heading to the Equipment Supply Station (appears as a blade on your map)  and choose the Cash In option there as well.

These tips should have you rolling in the dough before you know it.
