How to Get the Overheating Trophy and Achievment in Assassin’s Creed Origins

Most open-world games have plenty of Easter eggs, and Assassin’s Creed Origins is no exemption. Sometimes, inspecting each nook and cranny of the game world isn’t enough to spot all Easter eggs in a video game. In Assassin’s Creed Origins, you need a bit of patience to get the Overheating trophy.

Going by its description, you need to witness raining bugs in the desert to unlock the Overheating trophy. Looking at it metaphorically, you might be thinking Ubisoft wants you to see it rain like cats and dogs in Egypt. However, this is not the case as bugs will literally fall from the sky in the game.

Bugs raining is simply a hallucination experienced by Bayek which can be induced by standing under the heat of the sun for a long time. Simply stay out in the middle of the desert for an indefinite amount of time until the hallucination kicks in. For us, the Overheating trophy and achievement popped for us after 17 minutes of standing and admiring our desert surroundings. However, the Overheating trophy/ achievement in Assassin’s Creed Origins can also pop after being out in the desert and heading towards the sun. We suggest standing completely still for at least 20 minutes if you’re having trouble getting the trophy/ achievement to pop. Failing that, start chasing that sun through the desert. With a little bit of luck, the Overheating trophy or achievement will pop.

While Overheating is just a bronze trophy, getting it is essential to unlocking the game’s coveted platinum trophy. Assassin’s Creed Origins has a total of 51 trophies, with more likely to be added once DLCs are released.
