How to Lock Onto Enemies in Assassin’s Creed Origins
With Assassin’s Creed Origins overhauling the combat to a hit-box system, keeping a watchful eye on your enemies has become more important than ever. You’ll need to know the proper spacing between you and your enemy to dodge attacks and land your strikes. To make this job easier, you need to lock onto your enemies. Doing this automatically puts Bayek in a battle stance with his shield raised. Along with the ability to quickly sidestep or dodge roll, Bayek can quickly circle enemies once he’s locked onto an enemy.
Simply press in the right control stick (R3) on the PS4 or Xbox One to lock-on. If you’re facing with multiple opponents, you can switch your focus between enemies by moving the right stick.
Learning to lock onto enemies is one step towards being an effective fighter in Assassin’s Creed Origins. Proper spacing, timing your light and heavy attacks, and using the right weapon based on the scenario are crucial to succeed against the various animals and human enemies. Learning how to time your parry also gives you a huge advantage in battles. If you’re still having difficulty with the new combat system in Assassin’s Creed Origins, simply change the game’s difficulty setting.
