How to Level Up Fast in Assassin’s Creed Origins

Recommended Videos

Assassin’s Creed Origins fully embraces the RPG elements that have been present in the series for some time now, putting them front and center and making this latest installment a true ARPG. That means you’re going to have to work hard to level up and earn Ability Points in order to turn Bayek into the killing machine that you need him to be in order to liberate Egypt. Of course, that can sometimes be easier be said than done. If you’re focusing on just the main story, you may find yourself quickly falling behind your well-trained opposition, but don’t worry, there are some ways to make life easier.

Side Quests – Side quests are the fastest way to earn loads of XP and level up fast in Assassin’s Creed Origins, and they tend to be relatively short in the grand scheme of things. Early on you can expect 1000+ XP, with later sidequests giving around 3000 each on top of what you get from kills and random objectives that may occur.

Exploring – Every time you discover a new location in Assassin’s Creed Origins you get a bit of XP. Complete that location’s objectives and you’ll get even more. Most are as simple as finding a single treasure (which you can locate using Senu) or killing one specific animal that’s right in the area. Doing these as you pass them by will help you level up quickly in Assassin’s Creed Origins.

XP Abilities – There are a few abilities available to Bayek that will earn you extra XP for killing enemies in certain ways. They are:

  • Tool Kill XP – extra experience for using either Flesh Decay, Poison Darts, Fire Bombs, or Fire to kill an enemy.
  • Assassination XP
  • Headshot XP
  • Stealth Kill Streak – The more enemies you kill in a row stealthily, the higher the bonus.

Assassination, Tool Kill, and Stealth Kill stack so you can get a huge bonus for simply killing enemies you were going to kill anyway. These are definitely the easiest way to level up faster without going out of your way to get XP in Assassin’s Creed Origins.

Buy XP –  Upon completion of Assassin’s Creed Origins you unlock a shop in Memphis that sells a rotating offering of legendary (gold) gear. One item that doesn’t rotate is the Tablet of Knowledge. It costs 1000 gold and grants 1000 experience points. You can buy it as many times as you can afford and level up incredibly quickly as a result.

These will all help Bayek level up fast and have you tackling Assassin’s Creed Origins’ toughest challenges. For more on the game, be sure to check out our ever-expanding wiki.
