How to Get Helix Credits & What They Do in Assassin’s Creed Origins

Recommended Videos

Assassin’s Creed Origins changes up a lot of the series’ core features, including giving you a lot more variety in the items and equipment you can use. One returning feature in the game is the ability to obtain Helix Credits, which will let you purchase a variety of packs and bonuses in the game’s online store. Previous Assassin’s Creed games would let you earn credits in-game, but Origins mostly gives you them through real-money microtransactions. To get to the online marketplace where you can purchase and use the credits, simply open the main menu and tab over to the marketplace section.

Helix Credits can be used to purchase three outfits in the marketplace: Pharaoh Armor, Scarab Soldier, and Mummy. You can also purchase a new skin for your camel or even a unicorn mount. There’s also tons of packs for different gear, a map pack that reveals the locations of tombs, and “time savers” that essentially let you skip over the tasks of hunting, gathering materials, getting money, or leveling up if you don’t want to do those things yourself.

Assassin’s Creed Origins rewards you with 200 credits near the start of the game, for completing the first few story missions. Unfortunately this is the only way you’ll get the credits for free. Purchasing the $39.99 Season Pass for the game will give you another 500, or you can purchase the credit packs which break down like so.

  • $5 – 500 Helix Credits
  • $10 – 1050 Helix Credits
  • $20 – 2400 Helix Credits
  • $35 – 4600 Helix Credits
  • $50 – 7400 Helix Credits

Outside of the cosmetic items like skins and mounts, anything in Assassin’s Creed Origins’ marketplace can be earned or found in-game. The currency is mostly used by anyone that wants to cut down on the time they spend getting things. Just keep in mind you’re using real money to purchase the credits.
