Assassin’s Creed Odyssey: How to Get Evie Frye

How to Get Evie Frye & What She Does in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey

Recommended Videos

Following on from the excellent Assassin’s Creed Origins last year, Ubisoft Quebec has brought Assassin’s Creed Odyssey to PC and consoles this time. Set in Ancient Greece, players will find themselves tangled up in the Peloponnesian War between the Spartans and Athenians. You’ll level yourself up, take on war contracts, pick up bounties, and improve your gear as you go. Heck, you might even be lucky enough to romance one of the NPCs. Well, it turns out that it wasn’t enough to just introduce us to our new protagonist in the game. If you’re dedicated enough, it’s actually possible to get her in the game. Here’s how to get Evie Frye in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey and what she does.

How to Unlock Evie Frye from Syndicate in Odyssey

First things first, you’ll need to ensure you’re all signed up for Ubisoft Club. This is an app that you can download on Xbox One, and on PS4 it’ll just load up within the game. This is essentially a means of tracking your progress and achievements in Ubisoft games.

Complete certain things in the game to unlock Ubisoft Club coins and XP, which, in turn, can be spent on cool bonus content for your game. This is how to unlock Evie from Syndicate in the game. Problem is, you may need to put some work in, in order to actually unlock her.

You see, to get Evie from Syndicate in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, you’ll need to have unlocked the Master Assassin badge in Ubisoft Club. This requires you to have earned 7,500 XP in Ubisoft Club across all Assassin’s Creed games. For long-term fans of this series, this should be much of a non-issue. However, for those who might only have jumped in at Assassin’s Creed Origins, you may need to wait a little longer until you can unlock Evie from Syndicate.

Once you’ve unlocked the Master Assassin badge, you can then load up the game and select Ubisoft Club from the main menu. You’re then going to select the Rewards option, and scroll down quite a bit.

She can be found on the penultimate line of rewards on offer in the game. She won’t cost you any Ubisoft points, but you will need that Master Assassin badge before you can unlock her. When you’ve got her selected, it’s simply a case of pressing A on Xbox One or X on PS4 to confirm your purchase.

What Evie Frye Does in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey

Evie isn’t a playable character you can swap to in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. Though, how awesome would that be?! That doesn’t mean she’s entirely useless, though. In fact, she’s one of the best lieutenants you can get in the game for your ship. An exotic lieutenant, she is more than capable of taking down enemies with her spear in naval combat. She also grants three bonuses to your ship, listed below.

  • +18% damage when the Asteria is on low health.
  • +15% fire javelin damage
  • +9% javelin damage

Chances are, then, that you’ll want her as one of your lieutenants. If you’re wondering whether you need to do anything in-game in order to unlock her, there’s not! You’ll just find her under the ‘Special Lieutenant’ page of the Ship menu. All you need to do is assign her. Check out our guide on how to assign more lieutenants for information on how to do exactly that.

Would make more sense if it was Edward Kenway, wouldn’t it? But alas, she was an incredibly popular character from Syndicate. No doubt that’s why they added her on.

That’s all you need to know to get Evie from Syndicate in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. Now, if only we could get Ezio, Altair, and the rest of the crew together!
