Apex Legends has just kicked off its new Iron Crown event, which not only brings solo play to the table, but also a bunch of new cosmetics and a Bloodhound Heirloom set for players to nab for their character, too. Of course, new cosmetics come in a new kind of pack. Here’s how to get Iron Crown Packs in Apex Legends.
How to Get Iron Crown Packs in Apex Legends
You can get Iron Crown Packs in two different ways in Apex Legends. These are listed below (but don’t worry, we’ve gone into more detail a bit further down this page):
- Earned by completing challenges.
- Purchasing them with Apex Coins.
As noted above, there are actually some challenges that players can complete in-game that’ll reward you with Iron Crown Packs. However, it’s worth noting that only two packs can be earned this way. If you’re looking to get more Iron Crown Packs and complete the set of the 24 new items, you’ll need to hand over some of those Apex Coins.
Specifically, you’ll need to purchase Iron Crown Packs from the Apex Legends’ in-game store for 700 Apex coins each. That means you’ll need about 15,400 Apex Coins to complete the whole set of Iron Crown cosmetics if you’re looking to do so, as players will not receive duplicate cosmetics from these packs.
Buying Iron Crown Cosmetics in Apex Legends
If you’d rather not spend your Apex Coins on these packs, there is an Iron Crown Event Shop running throughout the duration of the event that grants players the ability to purchase cosmetics from this new set by spending ‘Crowns’ which are earned by completing various challenges or getting them in Iron Crown Packs.
There are also some new cosmetics that won’t come in Iron Crown Packs and can only be purchased from this store, so be prepared to grind out those Crowns.
Getting the Bloodhound Heirloom Set in Apex Legends
Upon collecting all 24 new items obtainable in these Iron Crown Packs, players will then be able to unlock the Bloodhound Heirloom. It’ll set you back 35,000 Apex Coins, but you’ll only be able to do this once you’ve got the 24 cosmetic items in the packs.
It’s worth noting that if you miss out on getting the Bloodhound Heirloom set now, it won’t be lost forever. It’ll move into Apex Packs, but your odds of getting it from one of these is significantly lower, coming in at one Heirloom per 500 packs opened.
