How to Get Crowns in Apex Legends

There are two ways to get Crowns in Apex Legends. The first of which requires you to complete the Iron Crown challenges that have been introduced during this preview event of the Solo mode. We’ve listed all of the challenges down below, but it’s worth noting only the Ring of Fire Gauntlet challenge, and the one to get 50 kills reward players with Crowns.

  • Get a Top 5 finish in a solo match
  • Go Through Octane’s Gauntlet Ring of Fire While Wearing Armor
  • Get 50 kills
  • Deal 25,000 damage
  • Complete 20 daily challenges

Crowns also come in every single one of the Iron Crown Packs that you get. Two of these are earned by completing the challenges above, and then you’ll have to spend 700 Apex Coins for every other one that you want to get. You’ll get 30 inside each pack that you open.

What Are They Used For in Apex Legends

Crowns are basically a limited-time currency that can only be used in the  Event Shop. This contains new cosmetic items that can only be purchased from this store, rather than being found in the aforementioned packs.

Of course, with this event only running for two weeks, the currency is only really useful while it’s live. After the event is over, any remaining amounts of this currency that you have will be turned into Crafting Materials that players can then use towards other cosmetics and items in the game.
