How to Heal in Apex Legends
Respawn has just released their new free-to-play battle royale shooter, Apex Legends, and just as the case is in other popular games in the genre, you’re going to need to keep your health up as you cross the map. Here’s everything you need to know about how to heal in Apex Legends.
Healing items are found in the same way as weapons, ammo packs, and armor are. In crates and on the floor throughout the map you’ll find items, some of which help you heal.
Once you’ve picked the healing items up, they all go to the same place in your inventory and they’re pretty easy to use. If you press up on the d-pad if you’re playing Apex Legends on console, or 4 if you’re playing on PC, you will be shown a wheel with the healing items you can use.
Then, you can cycle between the different healing options (med-kits and syringes) and press X (PS4) or A (Xbox One), or click, on the one you want to use.
Your character will then holster their weapon and they’ll begin to use the item. Med-kits replenish more health than syringes in Apex Legends, but they take longer to use.
A green bar will fill up as the item is being used to show how far you are away from being able to return to the action. If you want to stop healing to take out an enemy or protect yourself, though, you can press triangle or Y to stop healing.
Alternatively, if you have someone playing as Lifeline on your team, you can have them help you out. If they’re standing next to you, they can press L1 or LB (Q on PC) to use the ability to heal teammates or yourself. A little drone will appear and it will replenish health slowly but surely.
That’s everything you need to know about how to heal in Apex Legends. For more tips and tricks on the game, be sure to search for Twinfinite.
TL;DR
Question: How do you heal in Apex Legends?
Answer: You will find health items throughout the world. You can press up on the d-pad or 4 to see the items you have and select which one you want to use. It will take up to ten seconds to use, though, depending on the item. Additionally, you can play as Lifeline who will have the ability mapped to her L1 or LB that will allow her to drop a drone that heals everyone around it.
