Animal Crossing Pocket Camp: Does it Need WiFi?

Does Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Need WiFi?

Recommended Videos

Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp has finally hit iOS and Android devices, allowing players to talk to their favorite animal friends, catch bugs and fish, and collect fruit as they’re on the go. Of course, with animals being in rotation and players having to log-in every day, some people are wondering if Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp needs WiFi in order to work.

Well, the answer here depends on what device you’re using. If you’re using your cell phone or a tablet that has the option to use a cellular signal. For example, if you’re using a 4G iPad, then you don’t need to connect to a wireless network. Using WiFi will save your mobile data allowance, of course, so if you don’t get a huge amount to use each month, it’s definitely worth using when available.

If you’re just using a tablet or other mobile device that doesn’t have access to cellular data, then yes, you’ll need WiFi to play Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp. We also recommend connecting to a WiFi network whenever the game advises you of a large update that needs to be installed. Though rarely gargantuan in size, it’ll still help you to save your monthly data allowance all the same.
