Crafting

When it comes to crafting a vaulting pole, you’re going to want to get your hands on five pieces of soft wood.

You can get soft wood from smacking some trees with an axe using A. Once you do that, you’ll see the wood fall to the ground and you simply need to pick it up by walking to it and pressing Y.

Then, you’re going to want to head over to the workbench. This can be either the one you’ve made yourself or to Tom Nook’s DIY workbench.

Buy One

Making one isn’t the only way to get your hands on it, though. You can actually buy the vaulting pole if you visit the Nook’s Cranny shop.

There, you’ll be able to dish out some Bells at the cabinet for one.

How to Use the Vaulting Pole to Cross Rivers

In order to actually use it, you need to head over to one of the various rivers that are no doubt riddled through your island.

Once you’re standing next to one and facing the other side of it, you’re going to want to press A. Voila! You’ve crossed the river easily! No need to use a bridge!

That’s all you need to know about how to get the vaulting pole in Animal Crossing New Horizons! If we can be of any other help to you at all, be sure to leave a comment down below, or check out our Animal Crossing New Horizons wiki for more!
