Getting the Solemn Painting in Animal Crossing New Horizons

To start off, you’re going to want to make sure that Jolly Redd is on your island. Once you begin to donate more and more creatures to the museum, Blathers will tell you about opening up a new section of the museum and then Redd will start to show up after a few days.

You’ll first find Redd walking around the island and once you speak to him, he’ll sell you a legitimate piece of art that you must buy. His ship will now show up from time to time by the secret northern beach.

Once you get inside his boat, you will eventually find the Solemn Painting up for grabs, but as we mentioned before, it could be fake.

Real and Fake Differences

The Solemn Painting in Animal Crossing New Horizons is based on the famous piece by Diego Velazquez and there’s one key difference that separates the real one from the fake. If you look at the image below, this is how the real painting should look. If it’s fake, the man in the circle will have his arm higher up and that’s all you need to look out for.
