Before you can use a Fountain Firework, you’ll need to get your hands on one. To do this, you’ll need to purchase a ticket from Redd’s Raffle. The Fountain Firework is ticket number 3, so keep buying tickets until this pops up.

Using Fountain Fireworks in Animal Crossing New Horizons

Once you’ve got a Fountain Firework, open up your inventory and select it. Choose the option to place it on the ground, and then press A when stood next to and facing it to activate it.

All fireworks that you can set off yourself are single-use, so once you press A, you’ll have a few seconds of pretty colors and sparks flying before it dies out. After it’s finished, it’ll be gone for good, so make sure you’ve got a good view of it and any friends who are joining you can see it, too, before you press A.
