Seeing as the new Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3 means a new/updated map, we’re here with you to figure out all the changes. While exploring the map is part of the fun, going in blind in a game like this isn’t always the best move. Here’s all POIs and locations in the Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3 map you need to know about.
Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3 Map
To start off, here is what a fully uncovered map will look like with labels for all POIs and named locations courtesy of Twitter user @_FireMonkey. This is quite different from the map at the start of Chapter 3 Season 2 which brought a few new locations of its own.
New/Updated Locations in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3
There are really only two new locations to watch out for, but some old favorites has gotten a facelift due to map changes or the huge battle that was the Collision event.
Tilted Towers
Yes, Tilted Towers was entirely annihilated as seen in the Collision event. This seems to be an entire rebuild of an area, so fans will have plenty to explore to refamiliarize themselves with the area. Seeing as tanks aren’t returning, the area now promises to be at least a little safer. Considering the lack of the overhead airship as well, Tilted Towers once again becomes all about ground fights and rooftop snipes.
Rave Cave
Since the Imagined Order has been decimated, there is no more Command Cavern. It is now the Rave Cave, which is a much cooler and way less menacing name. It’s a hybrid concert/festival area and a far cry from the war base it used to be. The scanner at the top of the area has been entirely removed, which means no more getting marked, thus making the place much more fun for fights. This likely be one of the places to go if you want to find a Baller to roll around in across the map.
Reality Falls
Sadly, the existence of this weirdly purple area has decimated what used to be Camp Cuddle. There will no longer be any camping, or cuddling, in this area. Some of the west coast nearby has also been repurposed for party time fun. The surrounded area of Reality Falls is very fungi based/themed. It is possible this area will spread out as the season goes on, just as how the snow biome has been melting for a while now.
Greasy Grove
Greasy Grove has the misfortune of being located right where the new Reality Tree biome spread out from. While the locations is largely untouched, it has now been taken over by giant mushrooms. Luckily, you can likely bounce on these mushrooms which will help when it comes to getting around. That matters especially because while Greasy Grove has always been a desirable landing location, this is only going to make it even more heavily populated.
All Named Locations in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3
While there were only two replacements, all of the other named locations are right where you expect them to be. The returning named locations are:
- Logjam Lumberyard
- Shifty Shafts
- Sleepy Sound
- The Daily Bugle
- Sanctuary
- The Joneses
- Rocky Reels
- Synapse Station
- Condo Canyon
- Chonker’s Speedway
New and Updated POIs in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3
Mighty Monument
Mighty Monument is now certainly more colorful now that it has been just about completely painted over. Though, this isn’t necessarily worse than when it was partially destroyed at the start of Chapter 3 Season 2. Considering The Foundation will likely be absent a large part of this season, this might’ve been the only way to see him.
Loot Lake
After the utter destruction of The Collider, Loot Lake has slightly expanded. You will now be able to find an area spot on the southeastern area of the lake called The Glow which is a remnant from the now rubble Collider. The island, called Loot Landing, has also shifted from its previous place smack dab in the middle of Loot Lake.
Reality Tree
As mentioned, you’ll find the Reality Tree on the western side of the map in the new very purple biome seen on the map above nestled into the Reality Falls named location. This tree is massive, however, and is impossible to miss. You can see it from just about anywhere else on the map.
Seven Outposts
While there used to be a few more of these, now all that remains are Seven Outpost II, Seven Outpost III, Seven Outpost IV, Seven Outpost V, and Seven Outpost VII. Presumably they will play a much smaller role in the Chapter 3 Season 3 quests than they did in the Resistance questline as the lack of IO forces renders them useless for the storyline. However, they will still prove beneficial for the use of the rifts and any characters located at them.
