Absolver: How to Get New Skills and Powers

How to Get New Skills and Powers in Absolver

Recommended Videos

As you progress through the world of Absolver, you’ll notice enemies and other players using skills and powers you may not have. This may breed jealousy or a desire to learn (the latter being a much better option). If you do develop the desire to learn more ways to fight, then you’re off to a good start. Now all you have to do is go challenge those other Prospects you see.

You see, to learn new skills (which are the attacks used to build combos) you need to defend against them. Blocking, dodging, or using your special ability will cause you to earn experience for the move and stance you’re doing those actions against. You’ll see a small circle pop up every time this happens, letting you know how far (or close) you are to learning something new. The more skills you learn, the more elaborate combos you’re able to build in the Combat Deck.

Powers are learned by defeating Marked Ones throughout the world. You have to face them to progress, so you should unlock these naturally.  So embrace the thrill of the fight, and use your opponents’ rage as a tool for learning. Pretty soon, others will look to you as a teacher.
