5 Best Skyrim Mods of May 2019

The Tale of the Dragon’s Bane

Recommended Videos
Creator: TheWorldofRipX

Rejoice, archers, here comes one of the strongest bows in Skyrim, Dragon’s Bane. It even outranks the Dragonbone bow in terms of sheer damage. This highly powerful weapon has fire and absorb health enchantments built in from the start.

Sure, the bow is great, but any old Skyrim modder can make a strong weapon. What pushes this mod to the next level is the story involved. It tells the tale of a warrior, his powerful bow, and a terrifying dragon.

Multiple books lying around Skyrim will point you in the right direction towards Dragon’s Bane There are no quest markers, but the text in the tomes should supply you with ample information.

Braverock

Creator: TobiaszPL

There are plenty of new world mods for Skyrim, but Braverock looks to be one of the most promising of the last month. It’s a work in progress right now, but the future certainly has potential.

The land of Braverock is even larger than Skyrim, in fact. It’s quite ambitious, but the future rollout schedule seems like they’ll fill in this massive map.

Besides the new locations, Braverock also includes new enemies, spells, skill trees, and much more. It’s almost like an entire DLC expansion. Some lore would be nice to make the world feel more fleshed out, but this mod is off to a great start.

Sea Dragon

Creator: Dovahkiinathay

It’s time for you to own your very own boathouse. Welcome to the Sea Dragon. This ship turned home is located off the docks of Solitude and is even compatible with the Hearthfire DLC. It may be a boat just floating out there, but Sea Dragon has a surprisingly big interior.

This boathouse is equipped with five bedrooms, a dining room, a prison, a room for enchantments and alchemy, and there’s still more. This boat puts many regular houses in Skyrim to shame.

There’s plenty of room for a massive family and all your belongings. Best of all, you can take a trip to the roof for a drink while taking in the fantastically briny sea air.

Atronach Collection

Creator: exrai

This mod is a conjurer’s delight. There are over 10 new Atronachs to summon with this collection. This includes the air and flesh summons from ESO, but it includes so many more original creations. Many of the new Atronachs are reskins of preexisting ones with different elemental properties.

It’s not a major overhaul of the conjuration system, but it adds a massive amount of variety that is lacking among the vanilla Atronachs in Skyrim. This way if you’re a big fan of fire magic, then you can summon the bulky molten Atronach instead of the fragile flame one.

Don’t worry hardcore Skyrim fans. The new summons are balanced with the rest of the game so you won’t become an overpowered conjuration deity with this mod. That still takes some work.

Priest Vendors

Creator: AndrealphusVIII

With this mod, priests will become a one-stop shop for all your restorative needs. They have scrolls, tomes, consumables, and accessories all designed to keep you alive and healthy in the world of Skyrim.

The stores in any large city should have a healing tome or two. It’s still nice to have some options when you’re looking to keep yourself alive.

Only a few priests throughout Skyrim will be able to sell you healing items. It still ends up being better than having to search out which stores still have the best restoration tomes left. Here is that full list of where you can find these merchant priests:

They’re not going to be wherever you need to be, but there are enough merchant priests in large cities to make this mod worth your time.
