Xur's Location and Items for Weekend of Jan 9-11

Get your strange coins ready because Xur: Agent of the Nine is now out and about. We got his exact location pinned down for you.

Get your strange coins ready because Xur: Agent of the Nine is now out and about. For the uninitiated, Xur is a vendor in Destiny who sells some of the strongest weapons and armor in the game. He only appears on Friday and Saturday and accepts payment in the form of a rare currency known as strange coins. Strange coins can commonly be found by completing the weekly heroic and nightfall strikes along with completing a daily public event and turning in blue engrams.

This weekend, Xur is hanging out in the hangar. He is offering up a helmet (An Insurmountable Skullfort) for Titans, a chest piece (Lucky Rasberry) for Hunters and a chest piece (Starfire Protocol) for Warlocks. As for this week’s weapon, he has The Last Word, an exotic Hand Cannon that excels while firing from the hip.  The Starfire Protocol can only be purchased if you have installed the first expansion, Destiny: The Dark Below. The Starfire Protocol allows Warlocks to carry two of the powerful Fusion Grenades. The Titan helmet, An Insurmountable Skullfort, allows the Striker subclass to regenerate health through melee attacks. Lucky Rasberry for Hunters enhances the Arcbolt Grenade.

Also, Xur has a multitude of exotic weapon and armor upgrades that can be purchased for one exotic shard and  around 7500 glimmer provided you have the original non-upgraded version.  Some highlights this week include the Gjallarhorn, the Helm of Saint-14 and Suros Regime.
