Xenoblade Chronicles for the New 3DS XL is Coming to North America this Spring

The critically acclaimed Wii title is coming to Nintendo's new handheld.

When the new Nintendo 3DS was unveiled in Japan last year, Xenoblade Chronicles was announced along with it. At today’s Nintendo Direct, the company confirmed that Xenoblade Chronicles will becoming to North America this spring.

For those who may not be aware, Xenoblade Chronicles was originally released on the Wii. The game follows protagonist Shulk and his band of misfits as they attempt to solve the mysteries surrounding the Monado sword while defending their homeland from robot-like creatures called the Mechon.

Monster Games, the studio that was in charge of porting Donkey Kong Country Returns for the 3DS, will be handling the port for this title as well.

Xenoblade Chronicles is set to be released exclusively on the new Nintendo 3DS XL in North America this April.
