Earlier today, Raj Patel, Xbox Canada’s official community manager, tweeted out a mysterious image that has excited the masses.
Hmm… pic.twitter.com/4wBGu6xsDc
— Raj Patel (@Rajio) January 22, 2015
The image comes captioned with just a simple “Hmm…” and has a symbol which could either be the number two or a ‘pause’ symbol in the middle of the graphic, with Morse code surrounding it. In response to the image, NeoGAF quickly stepped up to the plate to solve the mystery.
After having the code translated, it reads: “Presented by Xbox, 10am PDT, 1pm EST, May 4th 2015.”
UPDATE:
At first it appeared that the image was a step towards another Call of Duty: World at War game or something Star Wars (May the 4th be with you) related. However, Raj Patel, Xbox Canada’s community manager just recently announced that the image had nothing to do with Xbox.
Within the image, the Morse code had read: “Presented by Xbox, 10am PDT, 1pm EST, May 4th 2015,” which got Xbox fans excited until Patel announced the post was “unofficial.”
Earlier I posted an unofficial (not from Xbox) image to see what others think of it, not as an endorsement or tease. Sorry for any confusion
