It was announced today in a fresh scan that for the first time in a Jojo game, fan favorite Robert E.O. Speedwagon would appear as a playable character alongside All Star Battle veterans Jonathan Joestar and Will A. Zeppeli.
This makes Speedwagon the third new character to the fighter, following the introduction of Rudolf von Stroheim and Diego Brando. It seems that Speedwagon’s moveset will involve calling in gang members to aid him in battle, rather than using Ripple Breathing or Stands like most characters in the Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure series.
Also revealed in the scan is that Eyes of Heaven will be a four-player multiplayer game. It is still unsure if this multiplayer capability will also be local or just for online games. You can see the whole scan here, and the first gameplay trailer for the title can be seen here:
As of this writing, Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure: Eyes of Heaven does not have a specific release date in Japan, nor has it been announced if it will be released outside of Japan. However, considering the international release of All Star Battle as well as the release of the manga in the West, an international release doesn’t seem like an impossibility. Eyes of Heaven is currently only slated for release on PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4.
