Rumor: New Nintendo 3DS Might Launch in North America Next Month

There’s a rumor flying around that the new Nintendo 3DS could be launching in North America as soon as February 13. A photo was posted on NeoGAF earlier today, touting an ad for the new Nintendo 3DS XL that stated the handheld would be made available next month.

The image, which you can check out above, seems to be an official GameStop promotional poster, according to Kotaku. However, Nintendo has not yet given any official comment on the matter.

The first Nintendo Direct of 2015 has been scheduled for tomorrow morning and if this rumor turns out to be true, it is highly likely that the company will announce the release date of this handheld then. We’ll keep you updated as more information comes our way.
