Well, this is insulting on multiple levels.
The release of Ultra Street Fighter IV on the PS4 hasn’t entirely gone so well. In fact, it’s had a good amount of bugs that aren’t ideal for Evo, one of the world’s biggest fighting game tournaments. Character moves weren’t working properly, input lag, and funky visuals were abound in the current gen Street Fighter. Just how bad have things gotten? So bad, that Evo has had to use the Xbox 360 version of the game. Yeah, that bad. As Evo co-founder Joey Cuellar took to saying on Twitter:

Not only that, but Cuellar confirmed that even if the PS4 version of Ultra Street Fighter IV is patched before the tournament starts up in July, the Xbox 360 edition will still be used. Yikes. That’s already not good for Ultra Street Fighter IV itself, but that’s pretty damning for the PS4 in particular. Capcom has said they’re working with Sony on a patch to fix the numerous issues this week, but still. Not good. Here’s hoping things go better with Street Fighter V.
