Square Enix is pumping out the Drakengard 3 goodness today. After recently announcing a digital-only release date for Europe/PAL countries, the publisher of the latest action-RPG from the Drakengard series has very good news for North America.
Drakengard 3 will get its retail release in America on May 20th, 2014 – only 6 days after its European counterparts. In addition the States will get access to a special Collector’s Edition of the game.
Chock full of goodies, the package will include not only the soundtrack and DLC tie-ins standard to a special edition but also a prequel novella, a two-sided poster, and – if you order before March 3rd – a Japanese voice-over option.
Given the existing English trailer, it sounds as though the dub won’t be the train wreck that some projects have suffered in the past; still, the pre-order also includes two yet-to-be-announced bonuses in addition to everything already listed. For fans of Drakengard, this is the deal to get.
Drakengard 3, prequel to the first game and tied to spinoff Nier, is an action-RPG featuring the anti-hero Zero and her quest to murder her five sisters.
