Nintendo TVii Service Shuts Down Next Month

Nintendo TVii Closes After Almost 3 Years.

The announcement of closing the Nintendo TVii service and its Miiverse community came through the Miiverse blog from NintendoSarah. This news came a short while after revealing the significant changes done to the Miiverse and especially the Miiverse chat and making it only game-related to avoid long chats.

After almost 3 years of finding, watching and engaging with Nintendo TVii, we will be ending the service on August 11, 2015 at 3:00pm PT. At the same time, we will be closing the Nintendo TVii Miiverse community. We sincerely thank you for all of your engagement within the community and the Nintendo TVii service.

Nintendo TVii will close on August 11 after almost 3 years of running. This didn’t come as much of a surprise since the service isn’t really popular and Nintendo weren’t that interested to bring it to European regions a while ago. The service was used as a streaming device that support Hulu Plus, Netflix, and Amazon Instant Video.
