Mii Fighters around the world – rejoice! The Nintendo livestream hosted by famed Super Smash Bros. creator and director, Masahiro Sakurai, earlier today revealed an extensive number of new Mii Fighter outfits for the Mii Brawler, Gunner, and Swordfighter. Here is the breakdown of the new outfits by franchise.
Virtua Fighter
First, you have two classic skin characters for the Mii Brawler from the iconic Virtua Fighter franchise. The livestream revealed that the skins for the leather-jacket toting Jacky Bryant based on his most current game design, and the fierce Akira Yuki in a black gi costume that mimicks the original blocky design from the original Virtua Fighter.
Mega Man Battle Network & Mega Man X
Due to overwhelming popularity and demand, Nintendo has released a Mega Man.EXE costume for the Mii Gunner and Zero’s skin from Mega Man X for the Mii Swordfighter!
Animal Crossing
Next, Nintendo revealed that Isabelle from Animal Crossing was revealed as an available skin for the Mii Gunner. Look how adorable she looks!
Splatoon
Running hot on its heels after a very recent release of Splatoon, Mii Fighters will now have access to Inkling Boy and Inkling Girl outfits!
Additionally, as part of the customization options for creating your Mii Fighter, a Squid Hat DLC is also available. Can this be a hat in real life?
The Splatoon update also revealed a beautifully rendered Inkling Girl Trophy.
Tekken
In a surprise reveal, a new Mii Fighter skin featuring the iconic Heihachi of Tekken fame has been revealed for the Mii Brawler. With the inclusion of Jacky and Akira Mii Fighter skins from Virtua Fighter, the official reveal of Street Fighter’s Ryu as a playable character, and this newest addition of Heihachi’s outfit, Masahiro Sakurai proudly states that Super Smash Bros. is now home to three legendary fighting franchises all at once. Now, if only we can get Namco to loan Nintendo some Soul Calibur characters….
Now, let’s get down to brass tacks! All of these Mii Fighter skins are already available for download. According to this graphic, separately for the WiiU and the 3DS, these outfits are available at $0.75 a piece. To acquire them for both consoles, the prices are $1.15 each.
