hereLast month, Microsoft and The Coalition finally announced Gears of War: Ultimate Edition, an Xbox One version of the first game in Epic’s award winning franchise. If you’re a fan of the original Gears of War, but still haven’t bought an Xbox One, you’ll be pleased to hear that you can buy an Xbone and get the game bundled with it.
Every base Xbox One console will now come with a free copy of Gears of War: Ultimate Edition! Confirmed by @GearsViking at #SDCC

During a panel at San Diego Comic Con, The Coalition studio head Rod Fergusson confirmed that new Xbones would come with a prepackaged copy of Gears of War: Ultimate Edition. These copies will hit stores on August 25, same day the game itself comes out. The bundle will cost you $349, and you can see it right here at the Microsoft site. This isn’t the first time the big M has been shipping Xbones with games bundled in them–see the Master Chief Collection, Sunset Overdrive, and Assassin’s Creed Unity–and hopefully this’ll continue down the line.
