New Batman: Arkham Knight Trailer Shows That Anyone Can Be a Hero

The most important thing in life is to be yourself - unless you can be Batman. Always be Batman.

In a brand, new Batman: Arkham Knight trailer called “Be The Batman” that was recently released, the trailer presents new gameplay footage as well as inspiring live-action performances meant to convey a powerful message.

It is undeniable that Batman continues to be one of the most enduring and endearing superheroes that we look up to in the 75+ years of his existence. One of the most cited reasons why he appeals so much to us is that unlike the mythical godlike figures he fights alongside with in the DC Universe, he is but a mere man who can stand as an equal (if not, taller) to such titans. He does so by becoming a perfect, humanist actualization of physical, mental, and moral excellence. He has no true superpowers, but he is truly superhuman in his diligence and vigilance to never stop fighting against evil in all of its form, to never stop protecting the innocent, and to never give up or give in.

All it takes for evil to thrive is for good men to do nothing at all – and Batman is the first to rise to challenge it and the last to fall. This is why the Dark Knight is a true hero and inspiration to us all. This trailer relays that message; it shows us that we can all be heroes.

Towards the end of the trailer, we are treated to quick snapshots of Batman leaping off and divebombing from the Gotham skyline atop a car, a cut to Catwoman bearing battle scars, Batman slugging thugs without mercy, the Batmobile rolling into action, the visage of one of the big bads – the Scarecrow, and more explosions your eyes can handle. It’s mind boggling to think that this final, epic chapter the critically acclaimed Arkham game series will finally be released in about a month on June 23rd, 2015.
