Boss Key Productions kept their debut game under wraps for a while, labeling it with vague names like Project Bluestreak and The Shattering. Now, they’ve revealed the project as LawBreakers, a post-apocalyptic shooter where players can side with the lawbreakers or the law enforcers.
The live-action trailer reveals the setting and premise of the game. After a massive earthquake nearly destroys the world, gang members master gravity manipulation and form the Breakers crime syndicate. Law enforcement agencies then unify to combat the super-gang.
Details on the gameplay are scarce so far. According to Game Informer and information from the LawBreakers Twitch stream, the game will be a free-to-play multiplayer shooter with five person teams. Gravity manipulation and jetpacks will be key gameplay elements.
The first gameplay trailer will be revealed on Aug. 28 at 9 a.m. EST/ 6 a.m. PST. Attendees at PAX Prime will be able to play the game on Aug. 29.
This game’s focus on gravity manipulation does set it apart from other multiplayer shooters. What gameplay modes would you put in a game about messing with gravity? Let us know in the comments.
