Starting now, Halo: Spartan Assault, the twin-stick Halo spinoff released last year for Windows Phone/Windows 8 and Xbox One from Vanguard Games, is available on Xbox 360 via the Xbox Live Marketplace.
Taking place between Halo 3 and Halo 4, Spartan Assault follows Commander Sarah Palmer and Spartan Davis in simulation battles over the planet of Draetheus V and her moon following a Covenant separatist movement’s activation of hidden Forerunner artifacts on her moon, unleashing powers that will change the planet forever that take up over 30 missions of gameplay. Spartan Assault also includes a two player co-op mode for fighting off both waves of the Covenant and the Flood, making their first appearance in a Halo game since Ensemble Studios’ severely underrated RTS Halo Wars. That is only there to severely anger our video man Rick Aguilar, who irrationally despises that game with a fire that is hard to fathom to rational people*.
Halo: Spartan Assault is currently priced at 15.00 dollars American.
