The wait for European Guilty Gear fans is finally over because early today Arc System finally released Guilty Gear Xrd Sign onto the European PlayStation Network.
Guilty Gear Xrd Sign features extremely detailed cell-shaded graphics which “replicated the cell-animated look of the original games, but using 3D models and backgrounds in a never-before-seen blend of fantasticalness,” to quote Arc System Works Gail Salamanca on the PlayStation Blog.
According to Gail Salamanca “Each character has been tweaked and balanced, and old mechanics examined, updated, and perfected”. Also, if you’re a newcomer to the series, Xrd Sign also includes an “inclusive” tutorial to get players up to speed.
Unfortunately for European gamers who waited so long for Xrd Sign, the game will only be available digitally, and, according to the PlayStation Blog comment section, the DLC characters aren’t included. This means that players will have to pay to use Elphelt and Leo Whitefang, despite the fact that they’re mentioned in the games description on the PSN store.
Last week Arc System Works announced that they’re working on a new Guilty Gear Xrd game titled Revalator so Xrd Sign is already quickly becoming outdated.
So are you excited to see Guilty Gear Xrd Sign finally available in Europe? If so why not tell us in the comments below?
