Grand Theft Auto V’s Rockstar Editor Is Coming To Consoles

Film your own crime drama in Grand Theft Auto V.

One major update to the PC port of Grand Theft Auto V was the Rockstar Editor, a piece of video editing software that lets players turn their gameplay clips into works of art. Today, Rockstar announced that the Rockstar Editor will be patched into the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of Grand Theft Auto V.

Rockstar have been running contests where fans can win prizes for videos created in the Rockstar Editor. Their most recent contest post ends with news on the console version of the program.

Congrats again to all our winners and thanks to all our talented entrants. The upcoming launch of the Rockstar Editor for PS4 and Xbox One as the next update to Grand Theft Auto V and GTA Online means the next Rockstar Editor Contest will be the first one with entries across all three platforms – so the creative competition will be fiercer than ever. Stay tuned for info about that contest and forthcoming update.

Not only can GTA V fans use the full suite of tools in the Rockstar Editor, they’ll soon be able to enter Rockstar’s official contests where they’ve been giving away prizes like Rockstar-themed gaming keyboards and mice.
