Fallout Fan who Sent Bethesda Over 2,000 Bottle Caps gets Great Response

One man's post-apocalyptic currency is another man's treasure.

Remember GatorMacheteJr? The guy who sent Bethesda approximately 2,240 bottle caps (11.2 pounds) in the mail attempting to pre-order Fallout 4?

Well, Bethesda sure hasn’t forgotten about him either, as it seems this extravagant Fallout fan has succeeded in bartering with the post-apocalyptic open-world game developer.

That’s right, GatorMacheteJr posted on Imgur yesterday that Global Community Lead at Bethesda, Matt Grandstaff, had finally gotten back to him and they’ve decided to send him a free copy of the game at launch, this November.

During his original posting, GatorMacheteJr had stated “I’m hoping if this post gets popular enough, their PR department will be too nervous to turn me down,” and it looks like he’s succeeded.

But for those of you thinking about copying this trick, it might be wise just to use actual currency, especially with how well the game is already selling.

“Anyway, I just wanted to say ‘thank you’ to everyone who helped in making this happen. People were simultaneously worried about my rate of drinking (I’m fine, thanks), and were also disappointed in my lack of drinking (I’m fine, thanks),” GatorMacheteJr said.

Fallout 4 will be available on November 10, for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
