Watch Every Mortal Kombat Fatality Ever in a Single Hour

Your soul is mine.

The internet throws up a bunch of weird and wonderful things. Popularity unimaginable by the masses has been afforded to things like dramatic hamsters, chaps miming along to Eastern European pop songs, and even everyone’s favorite vocalist Rick Astley (don’t deny it). So imagine our surprise when we stumbled upon a diamond in the rough. One YouTube user named ORENGEcarot created a video way back in 2013, concisely bringing together every single fatality ever to appear in the Mortal Kombat franchise.

Well when we say concise, we actually mean in just over one hour. The video goes from the very first Mortal Kombat all the way up to the latest entry in the series. In it, every fatality that was lumped into the game can be seen. These range from the downright disgusting kills of Shang Tsung in the original Mortal Kombat to Nightwolf literally burning the skin of opponents in Mortal Kombat 9.  Watch the whole thing above if you feel compelled to do so.

It’s seriously worth a watch for a bevy of reasons. Looking back at the history of gaming is something that’s fun and yet quite hard to do in the modern age. Many long-lost gems from the past are either impossible to find or just insanely boring to compile. There’s also the problem of most franchises only surviving for so long before they burn out into nothingness.

Mortal Kombat is a rare one in the world of video games. It may have hit a rocky patch in its mid-life crisis, but that didn’t stop the series doggedly holding onto its fanbase by keeping in the series what made it famous in the first place.

If you plan to watch this whole video, you’re going to need a little popcorn and a lot of stomach when you reach the more modern entries in the game.

Of course, there will be some more fatalities in the latest entry Mortal Kombat X when it is released in April.
