Borderlands Catches a Ride on Xbox One with Backwards Compatibility

No rest for the wicked.

Earlier this year, Gearbox and 2K released Borderlands: The Handsome Collection for the PS4 and Xbox One, which contained Borderlands 2 and The Pre-Sequel and their DLC. If you were a Borderlands 1 fan, you were probably disappointed the original wasn’t made available on current gen systems. Well, for Xbox One owners at least, that’s no longer a problem, because the game will be backwards compatible.

For anyone who’s previewing the backwards compatibility system, they can already go ahead and test out the game in glorious Xbox One fidelity. Everyone else will have to wait until November when the system goes live for all Xbox One owners. Backwards compatible owners will be able to play with Xbox One and 360 owners. If you’ve still got your file in the Cloud, you can pick up right where you left off, DLC included. Except Mad Moxxi’s Underdome. That one’s bad.
