Adieu, Player Two – Year of Luigi Coming to an End in March

2013 was a glorious year for video games, and it was also a year to recognize the format’s ultimate second-fiddle character. The Year of Luigi, declared last year by Nintendo, is coming to an official end on March 18, 2014. This information was provided by Shigeru Miyamoto himself via Miiverse post.

He went on to invite fans to spend this next month continuing to send positive messages for Luigi on his post; giving all of us younger siblings the chance to express our love for the character we were always forced to play as.

As the Year of Luigi closes, my only real question is this: When is the Year of Toad coming?!?
