15 Cool Things You Can Do in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

Steal Weapons

Combat is a bit different this time around with weapons that explode after too much use and hyper-aggressive enemies. It’s a good thing that Link has no qualms with stealing weapons from his enemies to deal the death blow like a boss. Now that’s giving a monster a taste of their own medicine.

Chopping Trees

Deforestation is a serious issue, so don’t go cutting every tree down. But chopping down trees to build items or to just make a bridge over a chasm while playing The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is just so rewarding.

Using Bees to Send Enemies Into A Frenzy

Enemies can be very annoying in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Always guarding where you need to go and trying to pick fights. Why not drop some beehives on them to watch them run around like maniacs, making it easy to sneak by or pick them off in the chaos.

Get Nakey!

Sometimes you want to feel free… like, really free. And you know what prevents that? Heavy clothing. So the game lets you strip down to your swimming trunks and enjoy the water and send enemies scattering away from the naked human raiding their camp.

Get Nice Clothes

Of course, you can’t always be naked. That’s why there’re some really nice clothes for you to collect and wear throughout your adventure.

Extreme Fishing

Fishing with a rod is so Ocarina of Time. Link steps things up in Breath of the Wild by using anything at his disposal to kill fish and collect them including bombs, arrows, and straight up snatching them out the water with his bare hands.

Taming and Riding Horses

This time around you’ll have to actually tame wild horses if you want a steed for Link as he works to save the Hyrule Kingdom. It’s exciting as they try to buck you off, and there’s a soothing feeling as you ride through the beautiful fields taking out enemies from horseback.

Riding Your Shield

Link can do a lot of extreme things in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, but very few are as cool as flipping his shield over and using it as a snowboard. Even cooler is that he can pull of tricks and still use his bow while cruising down the slopes.

Explore the Open World

The world in this game is both massive and beautiful, and you can go pretty much anywhere your eyes can see. You’re not contained by arbitrary borders, and are free to explore and discover whatever secrets Hyrule holds.

Glide Through the Sky

Boarding, horseback, and on foot aren’t your only options. You can take to the skies, raining down arrows from above or just taking in the sites as you play The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

Rafting

Sailing through the water is so serene in any game, but it has even more of a relaxing beauty in Breath of the Wild. Plus, Link creates are currents by fanning a giant leaf, that’s pretty cool.

Make a Catapult

Now this is something for the thrill-seekers out there who think snowboarding and paragliding are too safe. You can use Link’s magnet ability to construct a crude catapult and launch yourself into the sky. Why? Why not?

Be an Ninja, Sort of

In The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Link can use stealth to sneak around and pick of enemies like a ninja, or to, you know, convince a wild horse that it should let him ride.

Buy a House

Link doesn’t need to be a wanderer without a home in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. He can purchase his very own house, and even have it decorated too.

Go Straight to the End

If for whatever reason you feel that you don’t want to see the story and just want to take out the boss and save the world, there is nothing stopping you. In true open fashion, you can march directly to the final boss and try your luck.
