Patch 7.1 for Legion launches very soon and will feature a little something for everyone whether you like raiding, questing or collecting pets and mounts. Since new additions like The Emerald Nightmare raid and PvP Season 1 have been dated even before the release of Legion, we’re going to skip right past those and instead, today we’ll be looking at 7 new and exciting things coming to Legion in the upcoming Patch 7.1.
Karazhan
Just as its name suggests, Patch 7.1: Return to Karazhan brings back the beloved Burning Crusade raid complete with the Shakespearean themes and atmosphere that made the original so unique. Interestingly enough, the new version of Karazhan will actually be a 5-man Mythic dungeon instead of a 10-man raid and will require undergoing an attunement questline.
Trial of Valor
World of Warcraft players who are eager to experience more Legion raiding after completing The Emerald Nightmare will not have to wait long because Trial of Valor is also opening its doors with the release of Patch 7.1. As some of you may have guessed, Trial of Valor continues the storyline introduced by Halls of Valor and will feature difficult boss battles against previously established characters like Odyn, Helya, and more.
Suramar Storyline
Patch 7.1 also continues the Suramar storyline and adds the last chapter needed to complete “Good Suramaritan”, an achievement that many players have been working towards since the start of Legion. In addition, finishing the Nightfallen campaign will eventually lead to the opening of The Nighthold, Legion’s final tier 1 raid which features none other than Gul’dan as its end boss.
Blood of Sargeras Vendor
Right now Blood of Sargeras isn’t worth a whole lot as Legion only features a handful of crafting recipes that require the reagent. This is all going to change pretty soon, however, as Patch 7.1 introduces a Blood of Sargeras vendor in Dalaran called Illena Bloodthorn who can convert the blood into various useful crafting materials.
Diablo 20th Anniversary Event
Believe it or not, the original Diablo is turning 20 later this year and there’s going to be a special event in Legion to commemorate the momentous occasion. Blizzard hasn’t revealed the specifics of this event just yet, however, data miners have found a number of upcoming in-game items that clearly point at the Diablo universe along with a Diablo 20th Anniversary Achievement that reads “there is no cow level.”
Raiding with Leashes IV
Raiding with Leashes IV will be similar to the first three achievements in the sense that it requires players to gather a certain number of pets from old raids in other to complete. This time, however, World of Warcraft players are tasked with clearing Wrath of the Lich King raids like Ulduar and Icecrown Citadel in search of the elusive pets.
New Mounts
Mount collectors will surely have a field day in Legion as Patch 7.1 introduces a number of new mounts that range from horses to dragons and everything in between. Some of the new data mined mounts include an updated version of Midnight, the Arcanist’s Manasaber, a White Hawkstrider, a Rockspine Basilisk, a Smoldering Ember Wyrm, and an underwater Sting Ray mount.
