Launching alongside the Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5, Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War is finally here. While the multiplayer and zombies modes might be the main draw for a lot of players, the campaign is sure to be a great showcase for your new systems. If you recognise some of the voices and faces, we’re here to run you through the voice actors of Black Ops Cold War’s Campaign voice cast, so that you can see where you know them from.
Voice Actors of Black Ops Cold War’s Campaign Voice Cast
Russell Adler – Bruce Thomas
One of the main characters in Black Ops Cold War, Adler is played by Bruce Thomas. Thomas is a video game actor with an extensive back catalogue of credits.
You’ll likely know him as Sid Redburn in Gears Tactics, which has come to Series X on the day the console releases, Daniel Finch, Nathan Filmore, and Drifter in Fallout 4, and he does the mo-cap for Master Chief (not the voice) in Halo 5.
Helen Park – Lily Cowles
Voice Actors of Black Ops Cold War’s Campaign Voice Cast
Lily Cowles, on the other hand, isn’t so experienced when it comes to video game acting. According to IMDb, playing Helen Park in Black Ops Cold War is her first role.
Elsewhere, you might know Cowles as Isobel Evans from Roswell, New Mexico on the small screen and Antebellum, which is a movie that was supposed to release theatrically this year sometime.
Frank Woods – Damon Victor Allen
Playing Frank Woods, another of the main characters in Black Ops Cold War, most of Damon Victor Allen’s acting work has come on the small screen, in high profile TV shows.
You’ll likely know him as Spirited Congregant in Perry Mason and smaller roles in the likes of Westworld, 911, and Shameless. Woods is also Allen’s first video game acting role.
Sims – Reggie Watkins
Voice Actors of Black Ops Cold War’s Campaign Voice Cast
Before playing Sims in CoD Black Ops Cold War, Reggie Watkins only video game role was as Andre and Davon in The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners.
Away from video games, he’s played recurring roles in Bosch, as Det. Marvin Webster, Officer Jeffries in Trouble Creek, and the shooter in This Is Us.
Lazar – Damon Dayoub
While Damon Dayoub’s video game credits are quite limited, he’s got a lot more experience than much of Black Ops Cold War’s campaign voice cast.
He’s played Nemesis in Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite, as well as smaller unnamed roles in the likes of Red Dead Redemption 2 and Halo Wars 2. Away from video games, he’s played characters in Grace & Frankie, Chicago Fire, and Dallas on the small screen.
Alex Mason – Chris Payne Gilbert
Chris Payne Gilbert is another Black Ops Cold War voice actor with limited video game experience but a lot of credits as small roles in TV shows.
Over the years, he’s appeared in the likes of Bosch, Suits, Dexter, & Gilmore Girls. Maybe his role as Alex Mason in the new Call of Duty game will see him play characters in video games more often in the future.
Hudson – Piotr Michael
Voice Actors of Black Ops Cold War’s Campaign Voice Cast
Piotr Michael, on the other hand, has lent his acting talents to a load of video games. Just over the last few years you might know him as Angus Groovy in Rage 2, Phineas Welles in The Outer Worlds, Sarge in Kingdom Hearts 3, and Ronald Reagan in Möbius Front ’83. He doesn’t play the famous ex-President in Cold War though.
Samantha Maxis – Julie Nathanson
Before playing Samantha Maxis in Black Ops Cold War (who returns from the previous Black Ops games), Julie Nathanson has played loads of characters in video games this year, and even some others that are launching alongside the new consoles.
She played Seraphite in The Last of Us Part II, Tsukino Saotome in Judgement, and Jess Black in Far Cry 5. She even plays a few of the snax in Bugsnax, although those characters don’t have many lines beyond simply saying their names over and over again.
