Who knew that exploring the wilderness Wyoming in 1989 could be so engaging? The beautiful landscape is the perfect background as players are led through choices that will shape the games narrative. It’s one of the more thought-provoking experiences on the PS4, and definitely one you should check out.

What do you do when you’ve lived a life full of regrets and want to do things right? Why you find a gun that can kill the past of course. Enter the Gungeon mixes dungeon crawling, rogue-like gameplay, and bullet hell madness to deliver a challenging, fast-paced experience where the bullets are both your only way to survive and your mortal enemies.

Ratchet & Clank was one of the best games to release on the PS2, now it’s one of the best games on the PS4 as well. This full remake has Pixar level animations, the same intense action that made fans fall in love in the first place, and enough extras to make this go around even better. Insomniac proved that they still have what it takes to make something truly amazing.

As Nate is forced to face his past and decide what is best for him and those he loves, players embark on a journey across the globe to find one last treasure before hanging up the mantle of the reckless adventurer for good. A fitting end to one of PlayStation’s best series. A Thief’s End is also one of the best games on PS4 this year.

Valkyria Chronicles is not for the faint of heart. It’s deep tactical RPG style will test the mind and skills of even the most diligent of players as they fight through a fictional worried that strongly mirrors our own during World War II. Through understanding of military roles, and solid decision making, you can emerge victorious on the battlefield and save your nation.

Odin Sphere: Leifthrasir is a HD Remake of an amazing side-scrolling Action RPG from Vanillaware (Dragon’s Crown). Throughout the adventure you will have the opportunity to play as one of several heroes as you seek to end Demon Lord Odin’s reign. The action is as superb as you’d expect from Vanillaware, adn the artwork makes it feels as if you’re playing a living painting.

It might be the only top-notch baseball sim on the market, but SIE San Diego doesn’t use that as an excuse to rest on their laurels. This is a solid game with all the depth you can hope for so you can run your own virtual MLB dynasty on the PS4.
