Located in the nation’s Capitol, the NASA headquarters is all about space and science. Seeing as how Mewtwo pretty much looks like an alien and is an experiment, there’s a chance you may spot this particular Pokemon lurking around here.
On the other hand, while NASA seems fitting, Mewtwo can be dangerous if provoked. Dangerous things are normally kept in government locations that are quite different from the pristine NASA building. Area 51 is where all the unmentionables are kept, and Mewtwo’s powerful existence may fit the bill. Of course, you can’t actually go to Area 51 (it’s completely off limits), but perhaps the surrounding Nevada areas may hold what you seek.
Seeing as how Mewtwo is one of the most powerful, and most coveted, Pokemon in the world, Nintendo may just be playing this one close to the chest… like really close to the chest. Nintendo’s headquarters are located in Kyoto, Japan, which is pretty far from here. But, with Pokemon GO helping to skyrocket the companies stocks, maybe the higher ups felt their gym needed protecting by a certain psychic Pokemon. Hey, it’s worth checking out.

Mewtwo in Pokemon GO
Ever since Pokemon GO's amazing first commercial, where fans caught an epic Mewtwo in Time Square, we knew this legendary Pokemon was probably heading to the game. If Mewtwo is out there right now, or if it's heading our way someday, chances are it's going to be in a very special place. Here's some epic locations around the world we could see Mewtwo inhabiting.
Hang Son Doong, Vietnam
Vietnam's Hang Son Doong is the world's largest cave. This underground system is so large that it's home to its own jungle. Seeing as how Mewtwo was originally found in the Unknown Dungeon in the OG Pokemon games (basically a huge cave system) this would only be most fitting.
NASA Headquarters - Washington, D.C.
Located in the nation's Capitol, NASA headquarters is all about space and science. With Mewtwo's scientific origins (and alien appearance), we could definitely imagine spotting this particular Pokemon lurking here.
Area 51 - Nevada, USA
Mewtwo's mysterious and powerful nature is a perfect fit for Area 51, a government facility with unknown purposes often speculated to be the site of weapon testing or extraterrestrial study. Of course, you can't actually go to the completely off limits and highly guarded Area 51 - and please do not try to break in - but perhaps the surrounding Nevada areas may hold what you seek.
Nintendo Headquarters - Kyoto, Japan
Seeing as how Mewtwo is one of the most powerful and coveted Pokemon in the world, Nintendo may just be playing this one close to the chest... like, really close to the chest. The Nintendo headquarters in Kyoto, Japan would be a welcome home for this legendary.
