Here Are the Voice Actors of Kingdom Hearts 3’s Voice Cast
Kingdom Hearts 3 has finally arrived and it brings some of the world of Disney’s most beloved worlds into the series. The voice cast is a mix of returning voices and some that will sound a little different. So that you know who is playing each member of Kingdom Hearts 3’s voice cast, here are the voice actors of Kingdom Hearts 3’s voice cast.
Haley Joes Osment – Sora/Vanitas
While Haley Joel Osment is still acting in films today, his most famous work comes from when he was a child star. In the late 90s and early 2000s, he starred in the likes of The Sixth Sense, Pay It Forward, and AI. <br><br>
When it comes to video games, though, the Kingdom Hearts series is his only work, having played both Sora and Vanitas since the series began in 2002.
David Gallagher – Riku
Another member of the Kingdom Hearts 3 cast that started their career early, David Gallagher appeared in Look Who’s Talking Now and 7th Heaven when he was younger. More recently, he starred in J.J. Abrams’ Super 8 in 2011. <br><br>
Much like Osment, his video game voice work has been limited to the Kingdom Hearts series, having played Riku since the release of the first game.
Alyson Stoner – Kairi/Xion
Starting here career on the Disney Channel, co-hosting Mike’s Super Short Show, Alyson Stoner went on to star in a lot of hit films in the mid-2000s. Steve Martin’s Cheaper By the Dozen series, the first Step Up, and even Missy Elliot’s Work It music video are all things you might recognise her from. She’s also played Kairi and Xion throughout the Kingdom Hearts series.
Quinton Flynn – Axel
While he’s played characters in a fair number of TV shows, Quinton Flynn is more familiar with video game work than many of the other members of Kingdom Hearts 3’s cast. <br><br>
Although he’s played characters in the Final Fantasy, Mass Effect, and Dynasty Warriors series, you’ll know him most as one character in particular: Raiden from the Metal Gear games.
Ben Diskin – Young Xehanort
Ben Diskin has certainly had a varied acting career. From regularly Additional Voices roles in the likes of Spider-Man PS4 and Octopath Traveler to playing Professor Oak in a Pokemon spin-off cartoon series, you’ve heard his voice in lot of properties. When it comes to his most famous roles, though, he’s known for playing Young Xehanort in Kingdom Hearts, of course, but also Sylvester alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger in the 1990 movie Kindergarten Cop when he was just seven or eight years old.
Paul St. Peter – Xemnas
Most of Paul St. Peter recent work has come on English versions of popular anime, super as Dragon Ball Super, Naruto: Shippûden, and One Punch Man: Wanpanman. He’s lent his voice to a lot of Japanese video games too, including SoulCalibur VI, Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker, and, of course, the Kingdom Hearts series, having played Xemnas multiple times.
Richard Epcar- Ansem/ Terra-Xehanort
While Richard Epcar has lent his voice to many animated shows, anime or not, such as Pokémon Generations and Dragon Ball Super, some of his most famous roles have come in fighting games. He’s played characters in Batman: Arkham Origins and Mafia III, but he’s most recognisable as The Joker in Injustice or Raiden in Mortal Kombat X.
James Patrick Stuart – Xigbar
James Patrick Stuart career seems to have been very varied. He’s played characters in the likes of Gettysburg and The American Ghandi, as well as in games like Anarchy Reigns and various character in the Kingdom Hearts series. He’s played some other cool characters, though, too. He’s Emperor Zurg in the Toy Story 3 video game, the Penguins in The Penguins of Madagascar, and even an announcer in Surf’s Up 2, which is a movie I can’t believe I didn’t know existed.
Willa Holland – Aqua
Willa Holland is one of the more instantly recognisable faces of the Kingdom Hearts 3 cast. While she’s played Aqua since the release of Birth by Sleep, most of her work has come on TV. You’ll no doubt know here as Thea Queen in Arrow, Kaitlin Cooper in The O.C, and Agnes Andrews in Gossip Girl.
Jesse Mccartney – Roxas/Ventus
Jesse McCartney has played characters in other video games before, such as Dick Grayson/Nightwing in Young Justice: Legacy, but most of his work in the medium has come in the Kingdom Hearts series, having played Roxas and Ventus since the second game. Arguably his most famous acting role, though, is one where you’re unlikely to actually recognise his voice. He is Theodore in the Alvin and the Chipmunks franchise.
Tony Anselmo – Donald Duck
We all know Donald Duck, right? I don’t need to explain who he is. Tony Anselmo, though, IS Donald Duck, having been the iconic quack since the Mid-80s. On IMDb, all but three of his 69 acting credits are as Donald, including all the Kingdom Hearts games and almost any other Disney video game you could think of.
Bill Farmer – Goofy
Donald’s OG Disney friend, Goofy is a huge part of Kingdom Hearts. Much like Anselmo previously, Bill Farmer has played his character since the mid-80s, lending his iconic voice to Disney properties of all kinds. There a little bit more variety in his list of credits, though, having played character in the likes of the classic Space Jam, Sing, Kung Fu Panda, and one of the best animated films of the 21st century, Flushed Away.
Bret Iwan – Mickey Mouse
Unlike Goofy’s and Donald Duck’s voice actors, Bret Iwan doens’t play the face of Disney in everything. He’s primarily Mickey’s video game voice actor. The Kingdom Hearts series, Disney Infinity, Epic Mickey, and Disney Magical World are all games in which Iwan has played him.
Corey Burton – Ansem the Wise/ Yen Sid
Corey Burton has nearly 400 credits to his name, across TV, movies, and video games. He plays Hugo Strange in LEGO DC Super Villains and Batman Arkham City, Zeus in God of War (2018), Count Dooku in Star Wars Battlefront II, and Dr. N. Gin & Dr. N. Tropy in Crash Bandicoot N’Sane Trilogy. He’s played characters in a few Kingdom Hearts games. As well as the characters pictured, Burton also plays Zeus and Dale in the game.
Kristen Bell – Anna
Probably the most famous member of the Kingdom Hearts 3 cast, Kristen Bell is returning to play Frozen’s Anna, unlike other original voices of the Disney characters. Veronica Mars, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, The Good Place, and Bad Moms are just a few of her popular shows and movies. In terms of video games, her experience is pretty limited. She’s played Anna in the Disney Infinity games and you might remember everyone saying “Is that Kristen Bell’ when we met Lucy Stillman in the modern scenes in the first few Assassin’s Creed games. Well, it was.
Zachary Levi – Flynn Rider
Flynn Rider is a fan favorite from recent Disney classics movies. More than anything else, he’s known as Chuck Bartowski in the TV show Chuck, but he’s also played Fandral in Thor: The Dark World, Luke Collins in Heroes Reborn, and Benjamin in The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. Like a few of the others in this cast list, he also returns from the movie (Tangled) to play thr character in Kingdom Hearts 3.
Susanne Blakeslee – Maleficent
Bioshock and The Fairly Odd Parents couldn’t be much different in terms of themes, but they’re the two titles that Susanne Blakeslee is most known for. In the game, she plays Professor Julie Langford, and in the TV shows she plays Wanda, Mom and Mrs. Turner. <br><br>
Elsewhere, she’s played characters in Coraline, God of War III, and even the Tarzan video game. She has played Maleficent throughout the Kingdom Hearts series.
Jim Hanks – Woody
Can’t get Tom Hanks to return to play Woody in Kingdom Hearts 3, what’s the next best option? Yes, get his younger brother. Jim Hanks often works as a substitute for his brother, playing Woody in a lot of the Disney video games. He’s done his fair share of his own acting work too, though, performing in many TV shows and movies. He even worked in the crew on Forest Gump, one of his brother’s most famous movies.
Tate Donovan – Hercules
Another actor returning to play his character, Tate Donovan played Hercules in the 1997 movie. Elsewhere, he has played characters in a host of critically acclaimed movies, including Manchester By the Sea and Argo. Also like other members of the cast, his only video game work comes in Disney properties, whether that be Kingdom Hearts or others.
James Woods – Hades
Another member of the 1997 Hercules cast who’s returning is James Woods, playing Hades in Kingdom Hearts 3. He’s played the character throughout the series, but has lent his voice to some other video games, playing the likes of Mike Toreno in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas and George Sheffield in the Scarface game.
Ryan Potter – Hiro Hamada
Big Hero 6 is making its debut in the Kingdom Hearts series and one of the movie star is returning to voice his character. Ryan Potter plays young Hiro Hamada in both the movie and the game. Aside from playing him in Disney Infinity 3.0 and Disney Infinity: Marvel Super Heroes, this is Potter’s only video game work, having worked in live action mainly. He’s currently in the TV show Titans, as well.
Jared Butler – Jack Sparrow
As you’d expect, Johnny Depp does not feature as Captain Jack Sparrow in Kingdom Hearts 3. Instead, the famous pirate is played by Jared Butler. It’s not his first time taking on the role, though, having played him ever since the movie series began, even featuring in Pirates of the Caribbean on PS2. Elsewhere, he’s played The Mad Hatter in the Alice in Wonderland game and Rango in the game of the same name.
Jim Cummings – Pete/Winnie the Pooh/Tigger
Jim Cummings has worked as Disney characters for years. Not only has he played Winnie the Pooh across TV, film, and gaming, but he’s also played characters in the likes of The Princess and the Frog and Aladdin. He’s lent his voice to other video games too, including World of Warcraft, Baldur’s Gate, and Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII. In Kingdom Hearts 3, he plays Winnie’s friend Tigger as well.
Haley Joel Osment - Sora/Vanitas
When it comes to video games, though, the Kingdom Hearts series is his only work, having played both Sora and Vanitas since the series began in 2002.
