Meet the Voice Actors of World War Z’s Voice Cast

Though World War Z is pretty light on story, there were still some notable voice acting performances in the game. Let’s meet the voice actors of World War Z’s voice cast to shed some light behind the scenes.

Shani Atias

Shani Atias served in the Israeli Defense Force as a basic training commander in a combat unit before becoming an actress, so she knows a thing or two about wielding a gun herself. In World War Z she plays Hiroji, which is her first role in the video game industry. Atias is best known for playing Tracey in Shameless, and she’s also starred in other TV series such as Ten Days in the Valley.

Greg Chun – Hiroji

Greg Chun is among the most experienced video game voice actors in World War Z’s cast. The Los Angeles-based actor has worked on Nier Automata, Overwatch, Super Smash Bros., Ace Combat, and Kingdom Hearts to name just a few franchises on his resume in recent years.

David Shaughnessy – Wolfe

An actor, television director, theatre director and producer, David Shaughnessy brings a wealth of experience to World War Z’s voice cast. He is a four-time recipient of a Daytime Emmy Award; twice for producing and twice for directing. Shaughnessy has also starred in dozens in video game franchises, including World of Warcraft, Call of Duty, and Crackdown.

Keena Ferguson – Arnetta

Keena Ferguson has performed in a vast array of TV guest roles on many hit TV shows including those such as, Two in a Half Men, Gortimer Gibbon’s Life on Normal Street, and in last year’s breakout hit, Atlanta. She’s been involved as a supporting voice actor in many different video games recently, too, including Red Dead Redemption II, World of Warcraft, and Spider-Man.

Rina Hoshino – Bunko

Rina Hoshino is a Japanese-American bilingual actress, voice-over artist, and a singer. She’s best known for playing Hatsumi / Michiko in the Archer animated series. Her work on video games numbers only one or two smaller franchises, including Super Monday Night Combat back in 2012, and Raiden V in 2016. Notably, she’ll voice Mewtew in the upcoming Detective Pikachu movie.

Joe Hernandez – Angel

Californian actor Joseph Alexander Hernandez is known for his work on The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Deep, and Kingdom Hearts III. He’s also been a part of the voice cast for Ace Combat 7 and acted in the TV series Berserk.

Brock Powell – Whitaker

Brock Powell is an actor and writer, known for The UnPOP Podshow, CollegeHumor Originals, and XKWX. He recently voiced Hanbei the Undying in Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice.

Yutaka Takeuchi – Tatsuo

Tatsuo is Yutaka Takeuchi’s first role in a video game, but he’ll be drawing on acting and producing experience in film and television. His best-known performances are Murakami Tin he Defenders, and Hashimoto in USS Indianapolis: Men of Courage.

Jason Linere-White – Tashaun

World War Z is another video game performance under the belt for Jason Linere-White, who has recently featured in franchises Fallout 76, Lego DC-Super Villains, and Shaq Fu: A Legend Reborn. He’s also credited with “Additional Voices” in Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse.

Johnny Young – Sho

Johnny Young has been an actor since 2006, starring in a variety of roles across television, film, and video games. He’s also starred in two animated productions based on video game franchise, including Overwatch: Shooting Star, and Far Cry 4: Fallen Country.

Rick Zieff – Greengold

A veteran actor, Rick Zieff’s first credited performance was back in 1988. Since then he’s starred in a number of roles across different entertainment mediums. Most of his resume is work on TV series, but he’s no stranger to video game performances. He played Ethan Jeong in Mass Effect, Hylek / Sergei / Dredge in Guild Wars 2, and Caligo Ulldor in Final Fantasy XV.

Michael Orenstein – Alahey

In his short career, Michael Orenstein has starred in three video games since 2010: Heroes of Newerth, Strife, and World War Z. Other performances include playing Bassem in the TV-series Marseille.

Kyoko Okazaki – Kimiko

Kimiko is Kyoko Okazaki’s first role in a video game. Previously, her relatively short career (since 2009) has span short film and TV series. You might remember her as Masae from Smiling Man, or Shequanda from All About April.
