E3 2016 was one hell of a convention, but for those who remember 2015, things may have seemed pretty familiar. That may have been because a large portion of the games shown off on-stage were actually revealed last year during all of the press conferences.

Cuphead was not only at E3 2015, but it was also playable on the show floor last year too.

Although its reveal was leaked before its campaign could do the job, Mankind Divided still made an appearance at E3 2015.

Bethesda may have dedicated a lot of this year’s conference to Dishonored 2, but it was first revealed  last year.

Fallout 4 was the main focus of last year’s Bethesda E3 Press Conference, that didn’t stop it from stealing a chunk of the spotlight again this year, though.

Where Fallout 4 goes, Fallout Shelter must follow.

For Honor first wowed attendees at E3 2015. This year it brought along a new single player campaign.

Gears of War 4 was the crowning jewel of Microsoft’s press conference in 2015. Who knew it would repeat the honor this year as well.

We first got to see mechanical dinosaurs in 2015. Now we just want to slay them already.

This game received its first teaser at the very beginning of EA’s 2015 press conference. And when we say very beginning, we mean people were still making their way to their seats.

Although the name wasn’t set in stone at the time, NieR wowed Action RPG fans during E3 2015.

I don’t think anyone is complaining that they got to see this game at two consecutive E3 events.

First unveiled during Microsoft’s E3 2015 press conference as part of the “greatest lineup in Xbox history,” ReCore returned this year in playable form.

Yet another member of the “greatest lineup in Xbox History,”Scalebound came along with some brand new multiplayer gameplay this time around.

Sea of Thieves was revealed just after Rare Replay last year.

You’d be forgiven for not remembering that this game was at E3 2015 since it didn’t have this title yet. Back then it was simply called Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem.

Since the game went silent for so long, many forgot that South Park: The Fractured But Whole was actually shown off last year.

EA let it be known last year that Visceral was working on a new Star Wars game. This year we still know just as much.

The Elder Scrolls Legends was unveiled at E3 2015, but it wouldn’t be until this year that we were treated to some in-depth gameplay.

Chances are we’ll be seeing this game every E3 as long as there are new expansions releasing.

2015 let the world know that The Last Guardian was still definitely a thing. 2016 reassured us all that it’s still coming out this year.
