Grand Theft Auto Online, Grand Theft Auto V's multiplayer component, has ballooned into a giant sandbox of different activities after years of content updates. When the mode first came out in 2013, you and a few friends could take on short co-op missions taking out drug dealers. Warframe
Warframe is all about progression. There are XP levels on warfarmes (player characters), weapons, and other tools to become stronger. Some missions require different warframes for specific tasks, like sneaking past alarms or freezing enemies before destroying an objective. Plus it is free-to-play, so it shouldn't be hard to convince friends to jump in.
