That's not exactly the case with Bus Simulator 16, as reviewers note some core gameplay flaws amidst a lack of polish. Bombshell is the game that Duke Nukem: Mass Destruction eventually became, developed by Interceptor and published by 3D Realms. It's a top-down action-RPG, that casts you in the role of Shelly "Bombshell" Harrison. Reviewers weren't exactly over the moon about the game though, as it sits at a 43 on Metacritic out of 35 critics. User score has fared even worse with a 3.7 out of 86 ratings.

Slain! looked like it had a lot of potential, a Castlevania-esque title featuring gorgeous pixel art and sidescrolling gameplay. The reality wasn't quite there though, as reviewers noted the gameplay of Slain just didn't match up to its visuals. The game sits at a 40 on Metacritic out of 18 critics, and the user score goes just a bit below that with a 3.6.
Coffin Dodgers - PS4, Xbox One
A cart racer that has different characters based on retirement home residents sounds like a sure hit right? Well not exactly, as the mechanics of the game just don't seem to smooth things out. Coffin Dodgers PS4 version has a 36 on Metacritic right now out of 10 critics, and the Xbox One version sits at a 45 with 10 critics. User scores sit at roughly the same rating for both platforms.
Langrisser Re:Incarnation - TENSEI - 3DS
After the recent success of Fire Emblem, tactical strategy has been popular in the west. Re: Incarnation is the first time the Langrisser series has been brought west in over 15 years, and sadly it isn't a triumphant comeback. Reviewers talked about a lack of motivation to continue playing, and a general feeling of the game being rushed. The 3DS title currently sits at a 35 on Metacritic out of 8 critic scores. User opinion has been equally harsh to the game placing it at a 3.8 overall.
Alekhine's Gun - PS4, PC, Xbox One
Alekhine's Gun is a game that sounds great on paper. A Hitman-styled title set during the height of the Cold War that pits you as a Russian Assassin. Unfortunately, the reality isn't quite that good, as we got a game filled with bugs and questionable AI. The PC version sits at a 40 on Metacritic, with the PS4 and Xbox One versions trailing behind at 36 and 33 respectively. User score has been even less kind to the game, dipping down to a 2.6 for the Xbox One version.
