Bethesda’s E3 2019 Conference has come to a close, but the conversation is just now heating up on Twitter. Some loved it, others downright hated it. Whatever side of the fence you’re on here, you’re sure to find someone you agree with.
It was so exciting to finally see Commander Keen make it back to our gaming devices. Wait, those gaming devices are our phones? Well, it didn’t seem like people were too excited about that as evidenced here and multiple other people on Twitter.
I’m in the camp of waiting to see how things go, but mobile platforms are an odd place for a franchise revival.
When you hear a new #CommanderKeen game is coming, but then you actually see what it is. #E32019 #BE3 pic.twitter.com/KWB0flhE9M

You tell em! Fallout 76 fans finally feel vindicated. Their loyalty paid off with what looks to be a massive free update for the often slammed Bethesda game. NPCs and true quests seem like such little things, but when they’re missing people go a little bonkers.
While everyone was bandwagonning on the #Fallout76 hate train these last few months, I've been enjoying pretty much every update Bethesda's been putting out since January.
These announcements are just the icing on the cake #BE3

This is a quite fair assessment of Bethesda’s conference. They showed a ton of cool stuff that’s coming in 2019 and 2020, but they didn’t knock it out of the park as they have in past years. All we can do now is wait and see if the games live up to the hype.
I can also say that the #BE3 press conference was kinda lack luster in my opinion.

Doom Eternal was pretty much universally loved. Back before Doom 2016 came out people seemed rightfully skeptical of the revival of the beloved FPS franchise. Now people know what to expect and will have a massively high bar.
Doom Eternal looks amazing and intense! Can’t wait to play it this week at #E3 #2019e3 #Be3 pic.twitter.com/0ow9UqmC02

When I say people are excited for Doom Eternal, I mean they’re very — to borrow Bethesda’s favorite word — f*cking excited. We only have to wait five more months until we jump back into the suit of the Doom Slayer and get back into all kinds of ripping and tearing hijinks.
After seeing that #DoomEternal footage at #BE3 I am all… pic.twitter.com/pg3mnp3i3s

I’m not hardcore when it comes to ESO, but Bethesda knocked that trailer out of the park. It looked absolutely beautiful and they’re right that Khamira was the star there. The development team didn’t even focus on her after the trailer, but that Khajiit tore up a dragon wing with just a single dagger. Now that’s badass.
Really enjoyed #BE3 and the new trailer. Khamira stole the show! She's such a badass Khajiit. Can't wait for more #SeasonOfTheDragon and #Dragonhold.#ElderScrollsOnline #ESO #MMORPG #Elsweyr pic.twitter.com/5p7noTi6pZ

Oh, Jimmy. Sure, Bethesda’s conference wasn’t amazing, but it wasn’t awful. To be fair, it felt a little awkward when Todd started talking about Fallout 76. Luckily we all made it through alive and the newest Fallout title looks like it’s starting to turn a corner.
I think this image sums up Bethesda perfectly. #BE3 #E32019 pic.twitter.com/tsUb4w2sAs

Negativity for the sake of holding up appearances isn’t great, but when combined with this meme I can let it pass.
Like I mentioned before, Bethesda’s conference was not mind-blowing, but they showed multiple fantastic trailers. It’s just nice to see them slowly get back on their feet after their eventful Fallout 76 release last year.

This was one of the highlights of Bethesda’s conference. Nakamura seemed to be a bit overwhelmed by the scope of the whole moment, but she kept her composure and delivered. She wouldn’t have been the first or the last presenter to crumble on a live E3 stage, but she gained confidence throughout and did a fantastic job.
I was live at #BE3 and I agree, Ikumi Nakamura is in inspiration, a goddess, and we Stan. If anything happens to her, we Riot. She saved #E3 for me. pic.twitter.com/tp6iMphfzq

Then there are the fanboys. Then again, this is what gaming is all about. It’s easy to get in a cycle of looking at what isn’t great about video games. Sometimes you just gotta sit back and enjoy how awesome these games look. We’re lucky to have E3 so we can all come together celebrate our favorite hobby for one week in early June. It’s a beautiful thing.
#BE3 impression:
WASTELANDERS!
Ghostwire… wait Shibuya? Must play!
Khamira too cute!
Why… why I’m so interested in Commander Keen?!
