Top 7 Upcoming Fall 2019 Anime You Need to Have on Your Radar

Psycho-Pass Season 3

Recommended Videos

The Sibyl System is back, as Pyscho Pass returns to anime for its third – and possibly final – season.

In the two years since fans have last seen this cyberpunk crime anime, there has been plenty of speculation and teases as to what to expect.

Alongside the return of a well-known antagonist, one of the biggest talking points of the next installment revolves around the state of mind of the show’s beloved protagonist, Shinya Kogami.

Will circumstances finally push former PSB detective over the edge?

Kabukichō Sherlock

Personally, anything that takes inspiration from Sherlock Holmes is on my radar, especially when it is an over the top, flamboyant retelling of the tale, told in an anime format.

Kabukichō Sherlock is just that, centering around a bizarre string of murders that take place in the East Side of Shinjuku Ward.

While this neon-lit Kabukichou district is usually the center of attention for all things glitz and glamor, its dark underbelly is ripe for investigating.

Time will tell as to what interesting new twists and turns this anime will introduce that Sherlock Holmes and John H. Watson haven’t already done in other formats, but I for one am intrigued.

Beastars

A brand new series set to arrive this fall, Beastars is sort of a modern-day fairytale, as it tells the stories of civilized, anthropomorphic animals and the class divide that separates them.

The anime’s main focus is around Legoshi, a timid, large grey wolf that works as a stagehand for his school’s drama club.

One day, an alpaca brutally murdered and devoured, wedging a rift in the already tumultuous relationship between the carnivores and herbivores of this society.

Through the lens of these anthropomorphic animals, this unique anime looks to touch on a handful of social issues, ranging from identity to education and much more.

Food Wars! The Fourth Plate

It is time for another serving food connoisseurs, as Food Wars! The Fourth Plate dishes out another delicious season of anime.

Once again, the show follows enthusiastic young cook Yukihira Soma, as he continually strives to be the best chef in the world.

Season four picks up right where the last one left off, as things heat up for the rebels after winning their first bout. How will they do in the following matches though?

The fourth foodgasm in the series is set to premiere on October 11, so be sure to get your bibs ready for all the yummy looking food.

My Hero Academia Season 4

The most anticipated anime return of the year, My Hero Academia is back for a fourth season, exploring the events of the Shie Hassaikai manga arc.

The third season finale of My Hero Academia left fans with a lot of lingering questions, introducing a handful of interesting new heroes and villains to boot.

Season four once again starts off placing Deku and his classmates right in the middle of things, as they’ll explore more about Hero Internships.

More than anything, this season will show off much more of the abilities of The Big 3, including Mirio Togata: a student that could potentially rival All Might.

Zoids Wild Zero

Zoids Wild has returned for another season, continuing the saga of these strange metallic lifeforms that come from the far side of the Milky Way Galaxy.

Instead of acting as a sequel to Zoids Wild, Zero is actually a prequel, set during the timeframe where the Zoids actually first arrived on Earth.

Zoids Wild Zero tells the story of Leo a young boy that stumbles upon a strange machine known as the Beast Liger.

With the help of a young girl named Sally, Leo and the strange machine set of on a wild adventure together, unraveling mysteries and surviving the troubles they bring.

The Seven Deadly Sins: Wrath of the Gods

Its been four years since Meliodas and his ragtag group of Deadly Sins got a new season but the wait is almost over for the popular shonen anime.

This October fans can finally experience more of The Seven Deadly Sins, as season four, titled Wrath of Gods, heads to Netflix.

In this season, fans will finally get to see more of the Sins’ battle against The Ten Commandments, as well as learn the fate of Meliodas and Elizabeth, and learn the secret of the world.
